Andrew Glencairn Moore

Glen was born in 1966, in Paisley, Scotland. Glen has spent most of his working life immersed in the Scotch Whisky industry but has now started to concentrate on his life long passion for painting.

A self-taught artist, who briefly resided on the islands of Skye & Islay, he now lives with his wife Louise and Ruby, an Australian Labradoodle, in a converted steading on a sheep farm in the Campsie Glen, North of Glasgow.

Much of Glen’s inspiration comes from the familiar everyday sights that surround him on his daily walks with Ruby in the nearby hills. He loves painting animals and works with both oils, to create bold and evocative images and metallic acrylics. Drizzling the acrylic direct onto the canvas gives fluidity, movement, power and texture, a technique Glen loves to experiment with as he never knows how the paint will settle on the canvas.
